Silence IS golden

Sometimes I feel like those little goldfish to my right...swimming around in circles and running into the walls. It's always go go go. Well last week I tried something new. My alarm went off at my usual time of 5 am but instead of hitting snooze, I got up and got ready. So I had a half hour to kill before I had to leave. I titied up the house, prepped dinner and even sat for 10 minutes in SILENCE. It was so so hard BUT I reaped it's benefits throughout the day. Try it!!

Pay it forward people!!

I decided to pay for the person behind me in line at Starbucks yesterday just to be nice. The cashier said it was $10 and I said that's ok (but secretly I was thinking DANG they got lucky!!) Receipt said they got 2 lattes and a danish. Anyways, it felt good to do something nice for someone else without expecting anything in return. TRY IT!!

My blessings

Who knew that one person could have more than one heart??? Your children are extensions of yourself & my hearts walk around outside my body. It runs at the park and tells me no many times throughout the day. It can make me smile and make me frown and when I do it asks me if I'm mad I was blessed with three children on my own, in addition to a beautiful step-daughter who I've watched grow from a child to a woman. I have a long way to go with my little ones, but am looking forward to the journey and the laughs along the way!

New bed

Owen's 2nd Birthday

Owen turned 2 on March 13th. We had a small birthday party for him at home. The winning gift was a battery operated SUV just his size from his Uncle Scott. He LOVES it and always wants to go to the park and drive his car around the baseball field. It's too cute. Here are some pics from the party.
